AddOhms Schematics Playlist on YouTube. (The first 3 AddOhms Episodes.)
Part 2 will cover the PCB layout and Part 3 will be turning / programming the board.
When talking about the load capacitors, I said “2-22pF” when clearly the data sheet says 12-22pF. (It’s in the script as 12, I just said it wrong.)
For #23 DIY Arduino Schematic, the magic word is DIODE
Hello,
First of all Thank you James!!! I Have learned a lot thanks to you. After reading and watching the video few times i still don't feel comfortable to select the right crystal and capacitors from digikey.
Thanks,Yoav
It's a 16 MHz crystal and 22pF capacitors. I recommend C0G ceramic capacitors like C0805C220K5GACTU.
I found only two 16MHz 18pF in digikey:
Fox - FC3BACALI16.0-T3 Epson - FA-238 16.0000MB-C
In the data sheet we saw that it possible to use 12-22pF What do you think?
I use the Epson because I have a reel of them.

I already said: "... and 22pF capacitors. I recommend C0G ceramic capacitors like C0805C220K5GACTU."
